TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE SZKLANE DOMY FACILITY 

The staff of the Szklane Domy facility (hereinafter referred to as the “Facility”) would like to thank you for reading and abiding by these Terms and Conditions, which are intended solely to ensure a safe, peaceful, and comfortable stay for all our Guests.

§ 1

(1) Apartments are rented by the day. When booking a rental, the Guest is obliged to specify the duration of their stay at the Facility. The staff may accommodate the request to extend the commenced stay depending on the capabilities of the Facility.

(2) The hotel day lasts from 16:00 to 11:00 the next day. The staff may accommodate the request to start the stay before 16:00 provided the apartment is ready for rental.

(3) Failure to leave the apartment by 11:00 is automatically considered an extension of the stay. In such cases, the Guest will be charged for the next day’s stay.

(4) The lights-out period in the Facility takes place from 22:00 to 6:00.

§ 2

(1) The Guest checks in at the Facility by completing a check-in card. The proper check-in is required for the start of the stay.

(2) Apart from the activities described in § 2 (1), in the check-in card the Guest may consent to receive marketing materials or invitations to promotional campaigns and contests organized by the operator of the Facility.

Consent to receive marketing materials is voluntary and the Guest is entitled to object to further processing of their personal data at any time, in accordance with the personal data protection regulations of the Facility.

(3) Prior to the start of the stay, the Guest is required to show a valid ID to the Facility staff in order to fill out the check-in card and complete the check-in process. 

In the event of refusal to show a valid ID or lack thereof, or the refusal to fill out the check-in card altogether, the Facility staff may refuse to check the Guest in.

(4) In the case of a stay starting outside the operating hours of the Facility staff, check-in should be performed immediately.

§ 3

(1) The Facility reserves the right to request payment for the stay “in advance.”

(2) In the event of cancellation of the stay during the hotel day, the fee for at least the started hotel day is not refunded.

(3) The specific terms and conditions of the provision of services, including the regulation of payment, reservation of stay, collection and refund of advance payments and prepayments, may vary depending on the type of service. 

If not separately regulated, these terms and conditions should be agreed upon in advance with the Facility’s staff, in particular by the Facility’s service acquirer.

§ 4

(1) Persons not registered at the Facility may stay in the apartment from 7:00 to 22:00. If such a person were to stay in the apartment outside the designated hours, it would constitute a basis for charging the Guest an additional fee for the stay of this person, amounting to PLN 200.00/day.

(2) The behavior of Guests and the persons accompanying or visiting them must not disturb the peaceful stay of other Guests, especially during the lights-out period. The facility may refuse to continue providing services to a person who violates this obligation.

(3) The organization of any events or parties in the apartments is prohibited.

§ 5

(1) In the event of any objections to the condition of the apartment, the quality of services, or the behavior of other persons on the premises, the Guest is requested to report them immediately to the Facility staff, which will allow them to respond appropriately.

(2) The Guest shall immediately notify the Facility staff about any damage discovered on the premises of the Facility, including the apartment and its equipment.

(3) The apartment is not cleaned by the Facility staff during the Guest’s stay. The Guest may order cleaning of the apartment from the Facility staff for an additional fee of PLN 100.00. 

Removal of waste from the apartment during the stay is the responsibility of the Guest. In order to avoid soiling the carpets, it is recommended to use replacement shoes in the apartment, especially in the bedroom. 

Before entering the apartment, footwear should be properly cleaned, especially from snow or mud. If the carpets are excessively soiled, the Guest may be charged with the cost of cleaning.

§ 6

(1) Guests are responsible for the apartment keys entrusted to them and the remote controls for the barrier and garage door.

(2) In case of loss, destruction, or damage to the keys to the apartment or the remote control for the barrier and garage door, the Guest shall be obliged to pay the amount of PLN 50.00.

(3) In order to secure the claims indicated in point 2, the Guest is required to pay a deposit fee of PLN 50.00 before the start of the stay. The return of the deposit fee is conditional on the return of the keys and remote control in proper condition.

(4) The Szklane Domy facility is obliged by the Zakopane Municipality to collect a local fee in the amount specified by local regulations from Guests for the benefit of the Municipality, which is not included in the price of the stay.

§ 7

(1) Guests leaving the apartment should make sure that the apartment’s exterior and balcony doors and windows are properly closed.

(2) The Facility is not responsible for items brought by the Guest to the apartment, including money, bonds, and valuable items, especially jewelry and items of scientific or artistic value.

(3) The Facility does not accept Guests’ belongings for safekeeping.

(4) The Guest shall be liable for any damage to the Facility, in particular to the apartment or equipment, caused by them or persons for whom they are responsible, including those accompanying or visiting them.

(5) Items left by the Guest at the Facility after the end of their stay will be returned to them at their request and expense. Otherwise, after 6 months, these items will be treated as abandoned with the intent to dispose of their property.

§ 8

(1) Smoking is strictly prohibited in the entire Szklane Domy facility. Each time you violate this prohibition, you will be fined PLN 500.00 by the Facility staff.

(2) For each unjustified activation of the fire protection system and arrival of the fire department there is a penalty of PLN 1,000.00 imposed by the Facility staff. This penalty is independent of the offender’s liability for a criminal act in accordance with applicable regulations.

(3) The Guest is obliged to comply with generally applicable fire protection regulations within the entire Facility.

§ 9

(1) The Facility welcomes Guests with small pets for an additional fee. The Guest is required to properly secure the animal on the premises of the Facility, in particular to keep it tethered and to remove any waste left by the animal on the premises.

(2) The Guest is fully responsible for the damages caused by the animal. The animal must not threaten the safety or disturb other Guests.

(3) Pets are not allowed in the breakfast room and SPA.

§ 10

(1) Use of facilities and infrastructure such as:

a) playground,
b) trampoline,
c) barbecue corner,
d) observation deck,
e) children’s room,

by persons under 16 years of age may only take place under the supervision of adults who will take the responsibility for safety of minors.

(2) Where separate rules and regulations are issued for a particular piece of equipment or infrastructure, the user of the equipment or infrastructure is obliged to comply with them.

(3) The use of equipment and the aforementioned infrastructure by adults and minors is solely at their risk.

(4) The Guest shall be held fully responsible for any damages or injuries caused by failure to comply with the rules and regulations of the facilities or infrastructure and for any damages caused by a minor under their care. 

The Facility is not responsible for damages or injuries of the user of equipment or infrastructure related to the natural risks of the type of activity. This applies in particular to injuries and damages caused by falls, overturns, as well as impacts of body parts on the edges and hard parts of the equipment.

§ 11

(1) In the event of violation of the provisions of these Terms and Conditions, the Facility may refuse to provide further services to the offending person. The person will therefore be obliged to immediately comply with the demands of the staff, in particular to pay for the services received and to pay for the damages caused in the Facility and to leave

(2) The staff of the Facility may refuse to provide services, in particular to rent an apartment, to a person who, during a previous stay, violated these Terms and Conditions or otherwise interfered with the proper functioning of the Facility or the stay of other Guests.
